These terms apply when you buy from Susaura through this website. By placing an order you agree to them. They sit alongside our Shipping, Returns and refunds and Privacy pages.
What we sell
We sell vintage and pre-loved sterling silver jewellery and a small range of curiosities such as coins and stamps. Every piece is one of one: there is a single item, and when it sells it’s gone.
How we describe pieces
We describe each piece as accurately as we can, including its condition, size, weight and any repairs or wear we’ve noticed. Photos are part of the description, but colours can look different on different screens. Measurements are approximate. Where we say “c.” and a date, it’s our best estimate of the era, not a guarantee.
We test silver by simple methods, such as an acid test, a magnet test and by photographing hallmarks. Each listing says which tests we did. These are good-faith checks, not a laboratory assay or a formal valuation. Our descriptions of age and maker are our honest assessment unless we say a piece is documented.
Availability
Because pieces are one of one, adding a piece to your bag doesn’t reserve it. It’s held for you briefly while you pay, and is only yours once your payment is confirmed. We also sell on other marketplaces, so on rare occasions a piece may sell elsewhere before our stock updates. If that happens we’ll tell you promptly and refund you in full.
Prices
Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). Postage is added at checkout. We don’t charge card or payment surcharges.
If we find a pricing mistake after you’ve ordered, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, or give you the choice to pay the correct price.
Placing an order
Your order is a request to buy. We accept it when we send you an order confirmation email. We can decline or cancel an order, for example if we suspect fraud or a piece has an undiscovered problem, and we’ll refund you in full if we do.
Payment
You can pay with the methods shown at checkout, such as credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal. Payments are processed by our payment providers, and we don’t see or store your full card details. We charge your payment method when you place your order.
Receipts and tax invoices
We email you a receipt with your order. We aren’t currently registered for GST, so we don’t issue tax invoices.
Delivery
We post within 2 business days of payment. Delivery times and costs are on our Shipping page. The piece is at our risk until it’s delivered to you, and at your risk after that.
Returns, refunds and your rights
Our Returns and refunds page explains how change-of-mind returns work, if we offer them, and how to return a faulty piece.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

The photos, text, logo and design on this site belong to Susaura. Please don’t copy or reuse them without asking us first.
Responsibility
To the extent the law allows, and without limiting your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for problems caused by things outside our control such as postal delays.

Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you place it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any dispute is for the courts of Australia.
